To future readers: One of the hypotheses that has emerged over the last two years is that many of the characters in this story operate in the shadows. They engage, watch, read, or participate—but there appears to be a recurring desire not to be identifiable while doing so.

This log is another data point in that hypothesis. It does not establish who actually viewed the protected pages. It does, however, document accounts being created within the access system.

And, just so that this is clear: to request a code, you first have to correctly answer an access question. The answer to that question has never been shared publicly.

For context, only two people on my side—including me—know of the existence of this record. A total of four letters containing the private link were sent. Among the people connected to those letters are several licensed lawyers.

One of them, I was told by his sister, helped develop an anti-plagiarism program for his law school.
I don’t know why, but I find that fact fascinating.

Why? Why do it?
At some point, doesn’t the hiding itself become a little stupid?
I suppose there is something to be said about a leopard and its spots.

The record continues to build.
